Plain Errors
Mostly plumbing under the August permissions rollout. SQL errors read the same everywhere, false access denials on BigQuery, Snowflake and PostgreSQL are gone, every saved tile records its data source, and MCP connections stop hanging.
Highlights
- One SQL error contract across chat, CLI, MCP and dashboards
- No more false datasource denials
- Tiles record their data source
- GPT-5.6 Luna default
New Features
GPT-5.6 Luna Default
GPT-5.6 Luna becomes the default for new chats, including Zero Data Retention mode. GLM-5.3 Flash is removed after failing tool-use tests.
Improvements
One SQL Error Contract
Validation failures, missing tables and columns, access denials and timeouts return the same clear messages whether the query ran in chat, the CLI, MCP, a dashboard tile or the API. Snowflake's combined missing-object message is classified too.
Tiles Record Their Data Source
Every tile saved from chat, the assistant, the CLI or MCP records which data source and thread it came from, so permission checks are exact and a connector cannot be deleted while dashboards depend on it.
Catalog Refreshes Keep Up
Scheduled catalog refreshes hand each connector to a durable workflow with its own retries, and stale catalog locks are reclaimed, so a backlog cannot stop the AI from seeing a new table.
Bug Fixes
False Datasource Denials Fixed
BigQuery project-qualified references, Snowflake names, PostgreSQL dollar-quoted strings and SIMILAR TO no longer trip the datasource scope check. PostgreSQL authorization now uses the real PostgreSQL grammar.
MCP Connections Stop Hanging
Subscription streams end after 120 seconds instead of running to the function timeout, so MCP clients no longer see requests that run for 13 minutes and return nothing.
Stale Automation Runs Recover
Automation runs orphaned by a failed deploy are reconciled and the schedule claimed again, instead of blocking the next run as a duplicate.
